For anyone that is starting in Spring 2015- what does the acceptance package include? Any idea on course schedule and all of that fun stuff? Is everyone living in Arlington or any commuters from outside of Nova? Thanks and good luck to everyone!

Just got the email last week about schedule options. Looks like there are 2 cohorts and your scheduled is based around your preference on what hospital you want your clinical to be at. I live in DC so I chose to be at George Washington Uni Hospital on Fridays. How about you?

Just found out I was accepted! So excited to start classes and meet everyone! I have not received my packet yet, has anyone set up classes? Are we in class 5 days a week? Im commuting from pretty far away so I'm just trying to figure out logistics.

Thanks so much!

Congrats! The "packet" for everything was sent by email. You get to choose a preference of your schedule, first-come first-served, and you'll either have classes 4 days a week (2 classes a day usually) with one day a week as an 8 hr clinical, or I was able to get my first pick of having classes M, Tu, Th and then clinical at the hospital on Friday. So I have Wednesday off. As soon as you get the email, send in your preference to try and get one day off, if you prefer that.

Awesome thanks so much!! The admissions counselor who I talked with said that the packet would come in the mail. I guess I'll hold tight with the mail and wait for an e-mail.

hi kleesh,

I got the e-mail packet from marymount as well. I am from the maryland area. I also chose GW as my top 3 choices. Did you already find out what block schedule you're in? I tried to check my schedule via marynet... and it says TBA for the clinical sites we chose. We also have to complete the clinical forms... but how do we do that without knowing our clinical sites?

Hi guys! I just joined the site for this forum. I'm excited to meet you all in January! I will be commuting from MD like lurzzz. When I tried to sign up for clinicals, I signed up for GW on Fridays, but last I checked they moved it to VA hospital in DC.

Hey! I'm commuting from 70 miles away, so I feel ya. I got the first version and I'll be doing clinicals at the VA hospital on Friday. Can we make a facebook group or something to be able to share info better?

I e-mailed the program advisor, she's been amazing. I have not been able to get my marynet account set up but she was able to verify my schedule. I'm in the first version with clinical s on Friday at VA.

4x4EMT, that's awesome that we have clinicals at the same place! Wow commuting 70 miles is rough...but it'll be worth it! We should make a Facebook page. Do you want to start it 4x4EMT since it was your idea? And this is off topic, but have you guys worked out financial aid? I've been trying to crunch numbers and it's stressing me out

Hey! Oh man.. the pressure of creating a FB group- I don't mind, anyone know if one has been started? As for financial aid- AGH stressing me out too! I haven't been able to figure anything out yet, I was just accepted last week.

Ok, I think I figured it out. I had to add one person before it would let me create it. I added my dog (yes she has a fb page...created by a friend-I swear). Look forward to meeting everyone and maybe this will help us figure things out and make our lives a little easier! Marymount Spring 2015 Accelerated BSN (group name)
