It is fast-paced but do-able. We started with 45 students and graduated 38 in 10/06. Approx 32 passed the NCLEX the first time. Between classes, clinicals, & studying = 50 hr/wk for a year. We got 2 weeks off in December.

Since most class days begin with a test at 0800 - don't be late! It's points off that test. Use the objectives and study guides they give you to help study for each test.

Clinical sites are constantly changing but they will be primarily skilled nursing/long-term care facilities.

Good luck :specs:

Thanks :) I just finished my third week and it really makes time fly! I'm a little nervous for when A&P comes coz I've already been studying alot on the "easy" subjects :uhoh3:

How hard was it to get a job afterwards? Our instructors are telling us we'll be able to find jobs that pay $20-$23 an hour, is that true?

thanks!

A&P and Pharmacology were the hardest but I think that's true of every nursing program. Just take it day by day and don't get behind.

You'll have to take the NCLEX and get your 'you passed' letter before you can get an LVN job. One of my classmates was the first to take the NCLEX (the week before Thanksgiving) and got her results the first week of December. So that was...approx 7 weeks after our last day of class.

$20-23 is about right for North County. It can be more the closer to San Diego you get and less if you're looking in Fallbrook, Temecula, Hemet, etc.
