Mandatory CE

My renewal date is in 2017. What is the mandatory CE for Michigan for RNs? Is it pain still or is it something else?

Michigan still requires "Pain and Pain Symptom Management." :geek:

25 ceu's with one of those being pain. How do I know?

My Ohio license expires 2017, my Michigan, 2018. Pain beats Ohio Law any day!

Michigan is weird and some people renew in different years. I know a lot of my former coworkers renewed in 2015 with me. I remember one even messing up and not paying the bill till the last minute. It's not like Ohio where RNs renew one year and LPNs renew another. I don't know how they determine the criteria because I feel like I should have had extra time because I transferred my license in and they only gave me 8 months before I had to pay to renew it.

But I renewed in 2015 and it's due in 2017.

Side note, two people at work the other day had to look up when they were due. They had a nasty surprise that they didn't get a full cycle either.

I do think it may actually be based off of when your other license expires if you transfer a license over since they too were Ohio to Michigan endorsements. They had a shorten time frame of less than 1 year when they were up for renewal.
