Malcolm X College ADN Program - Fall 2025 Applicants: Let's Connect!

Hi everyone!

I'm applying to the ADN program at Malcolm X College for Fall 2025, and I thought it would be helpful to start a thread to connect with other students who are applying as well. I'm currently working on completing my medical requirements through CastleBranch and preparing to take the ATI TEAS exam soon. I'd love to hear where everyone else is in the process and if you have any tips or advice to share. I've also been wondering what factors really help candidates stand out during the admissions process. For example, does having healthcare experience—like working as a CNA or medical assistant—make a big difference in how applications are evaluated? Or, does being bilingual help strengthen your application and increase your chances of getting in?

If you've already applied or been accepted in the past, it would be great to hear what you think helped your application stand out. For those of you who are still working on your requirements, feel free to share what you've completed so far and how you're preparing for the TEAS exam.

    This gave me life today! I thought about checking this morning and figured it's a weekend, there's probably no update. I went to check the weather on my phone. When I grabbed my phone I saw the notification for this post and immediately went into my portal. I'm so excited. I also got an acceptance letter finally. Congratulations to you and everyone else who got accepted this semester. I look forward to seeing you all in class.

    If I remember correctly from my CNA program they need to send us the permission number for the course with our official acceptance email/information for the program. I'm going to ask tomorrow, because I was really looking to register for the 1 evening class they have before all the seats get taken ? But congratulations yall, we got this! ?

    I was thinking to do the same thing! I really want to register as soon as possible because I also need an evening class, I'm working and can't do mornings. Thanks so much for the heads up! I haven't received my official acceptance letter yet either, I only accepted the offer on the portal so far. Hopefully we get everything soon so we don't miss out on spots!

    Yes. I anticipate those being the most sought out classes because I was also trying to get in for the evening.

    Hi! I recently got an offer for the RN program but it isn't allowing me to accept the offer because of my previous acceptance to another program for Spring 2025 still being on my portal. Is there anyone I should email because I know tomorrow is the last day to accept the offer.

    Try emailing the committee. They responded every time I had a question.

    Thank you! I just emailed them but I probably won't get a response until tomorrow.
