I graduated from lvn school in Oct. of 2006 passed Nclex in March and have been working since May. I want to go for my RN but I do not know the best way of go about getting it. There is a good community college that has a 2yr Rn program. I need all Pre-rec's so probably jumping the gun worrying whether I will be able to work while in Rn program. My job is flexible with my hours and days, I'm part time and as long as I get my 24 hours in they are cool but they are only open 8-4. The Rn programs at CC's are they like accelerated programs where they are mon-fri with set hours or is it like regular college where you can choose what times you are in class depending on the course you need and when it is offered?

Hi Tracy!
It depends on what state you live in and want to go to school in. By needing all your pre-rec's it is a little too soon to worry about the actual program.
With a flexiable job, maybe you could to a couple of classes at a time to see if it will work for you.
