LVN to BSN, not through a bridge program

Just wondering if any of LVN/LPN nurses got their BSN without using a bridge program. I've been accepted to a bachelors program for the fall and about the only thing I'm getting for my LVN, is just a jump on knowledge.

Hoping to find someone to talk to that was maybe in a similar situation. My school interviewer made it clear I'm an unusual student. My goals if to make it as long as possible in the program without instructors knowing that I'm already a nurse. I don't know why really, but I think it'd maybe be best if they didn't have a heads up.

So, anyone else??

If for some reason I didn't make it into the bridge program this year, I plan to do the original program. The bridge here is only once a year, so I figure I could gain a bit more knowledge, or refresh, by going again. I don't think it is unusual... I think most people go for time/cost savings. I'd love to go through the whole program, but I just don't want to "waste" the year's worth of credits I'm given... Kinda like an English teacher going through an entire program to become a history teacher, when they only need a few history classes.

If your interviewer knows, I have a feeling your instructors will know ;) I don't think it will make much of a difference... not to the instructors anyhow... the other students, maybe.

Good luck :)
