LTC NURSES

Does anybody feel stuck in LTC?? I mean i like it and all but it jus drains.me sometimes physically and emotionally. I been in LTC for a while. 2yrs as an CNA (hated it) and the past 8yrs as a LPN. Im jus wondering if anybody else out there feels "stuck" like i do. I know there are other options for LPN but none seem to come my way even when i diligently seek them out. Just my sentiments......

    I used to because that's all I felt I would ever get the opportunity to do as a LPN. Finally I refused to settle anymore and started networking. For the past 14 years I have had a Mon-Fri. office job, with the exception of working in a clinic for a few months and in an ALF for a few months. I now work at a home health company, 8-5 Mon-Fri. and love it so far. Get yourself a resume' together and start submitting it all over the place, talk to friends, call clinics, etc...Network, network, network.

    I pray you are able to find a job where you are truly happy :)

    I was responding to you saying you feel stuck, and no other opportunities seem to come your way. Maybe I misunderstood?? Maybe I'M going crazy :eek:

    No i totally understand what you were saying and i appreciate your feedback but i really think the title of this thread i started was changed my a moderator.....because i do remember the title being "stuck in long term care" not "LTC NURSES". Lol its not you.
