LTC/GERI psych needs - your thoughts?

I am hoping to set up contracts with SNF/LTC/nursing homes in order to do med management, evals, and therapy. I was wondering if you had noticed in your work settings, if there was an unmet need for mental health services and also if any advanced practice nurses had set up a contract to provide these services? I need some insight into how this is done and I'm hoping some of you have seen in happen.

OH MY GOD YES.

Seriously, mental health services are woefully under-addressed as it is. I have a growing number of inpatients that are in their 60s and 70s coming straight from such places. I think that providing more focus on PMH in geriatric/LTC facilities is sorely needed.

Most SNFs have contracts with mental health providers unless you live in the middle of nowhere
