We will be moving to Alexandria in a few months, and I was checking out nursing schools in the area. The only thing I can find is LSU-Alexandria. Is anyone familiar with their program? Can I really finish the pre-req's in one semester then apply? Anyone know how competitive it is? I would appreciate any information!

i went to lsua for 2 years (not for nursing) and the college is ok. i just graduated from the LPN program at the technical college and more than half of the girls in my class had either failed out of lsua's RN program, or didnt want to wait to get into clinicals there. i dont know what the exact time frame is now, but its pretty competitive. sorry i couldnt be more help!

i don't believe that you can do the pre-req in one semster...i know many nurses who came out of the ad program and they now have a high nclex pass rate..at one time it was very poor but now is 90+%
the tech college has a very good lpn program but it can be rough because so much is pushed on at one time
either one provides good instruction
glad to see you
pm me if i can be of any help
