LSU Spring 2016!

Anyone applying to LSU's Spring 2016 BSN program?

I am currently starting my application. I have not taken the HESIA2 yet, but plan to this summer. I have two prerequisites that I need to finish( Art Elective and Intro Sociology) and plan to take them in the Fall 2015 semester. I was wondering if LSU prefers those who finished all their prerequisites(prior to application submission) than those who did not?

Me!! I just finished my nursingcas application yesterday! I'm super nervous!

I have a 3.63 prerequisite gpa and a 93% on the hesi. Still freaking out though!

Great GPA and HESI score! May I ask how you studied for the HESI exam?

I bought a few prep books from barnes&nobles to study. the Anatomy section is the hardest. don't sweat the math or grammar or vocab at all! It really wasn't bad. The worst part was how long it was

bender3430 I went to the information session back in march and they said you can be enrolled in prerequisites for fall, just as long as it isn't one of main course. Im just missing micro, so I'm taking that in fall.

Soooo weird thing happened...I finished my application early and applied about 2 weeks ago. They deposited my check last night and I'm freaking out lol

I am applying for Spring 2016 also.

Does anyone know if the testing center sends your HESI scores to LSU admission's

or do they go by what you fill in on your online application?

And one more question...

How did y'all write your essay?

Was it formal and very straight forward regarding the questions?

Or did you add background to it and tie it in with nursing?

You use the LSUHSC nursing school code when you take the test and it automatically sends your scores! I wrote lot about personal experiences and what lead me to nursing, my tone was conversational. I printed out the rubric and tried to follow it!

Anyone else HATING the NursingCAS system?! I applied 3-4 weeks early and i'm scared I'll be too late with their "verification" time!

i think as long as you submit your application before Aug 15th the verification documents can still be processed after the deadline. thats what the NCAS website said, but i'm going to call LSU and double check tomorrow because i was in summer school this summer and there was no way my final transcript could be sent 4 weeks prior. This is my second time applying so if anyone have questions i'll be more than happy to answer. Good Luck everyone!
