I am a LPN, and been working as a home care nurse for the past four years. Because of my hard work and commitment to my job, my patient's mother recommended me to her neighbor who had been looking for someone to take care of her son on the week end. The neighbor asked me if i would like to work for her but without going through a home care agency or any company just between she and I. But I'm a little scare about it, any advice?

Legal advice is prohibited per TOS, however, I would look carefully at your policy at the home care agency. Most have "conflict of interest" policies, which do not allow you to take private duty.
Most especially from a home care client's referral.
