I want to work while Im in college. I want to become a LPN "BUT" the schools I have heard about in the St.Louis area are suppoe to be huge Rip OFFS. I was told go to St.Louis College of health careers, but they are so expensive, and I heard they lost licensure and people barely pass the boards. I contacted a hospital about being a Patient care Associate butyou have to test and train before you find out you get money. How can I make some money, gain experience and prep myslef. I have two kids I need to help support I cannot just take four years and be a bookworm. We'll at least I want to work and be a book worm whatever!!! some advice please.

Hi,

I'm always in favor of getting your LPN license first if you want to work and don't have a better career option already. Aren't there any community colleges in your area that offer the LPN program? If you go to the region tab up top and hit your state you might get more specific answers. Best wishes and don't worry even if some people say you shouldn't work and go to nursing school many of us have done it and were very successful.
