Hi Miastudent2010,

I've been thinking about going to L.P.N. school here in Miami. How is Miami Lakes Tech going for you so far? How is your schedule like? Do you work while you go to school? What were the requirements and entrance exams you needed to complete to be admitted?

Sorry for all the questions, I just haven't found many posts from that are attending this program.

Your help is greatly appreciated!!

Sorry I took so long to reply. I just finish core the, first part of the lpn course. So far it is good. My teacher is a tuff lady she is very strict. You have to take a tabe test and the "teas" test. The teas is for those who want to go into the nursing program. You have to pass before you can apply to the program. You can go see the counselor and they will tell you the steps. My schedule is 4pm to 9:30pm. I only work on weekend, but some of my classmate work. It's alot of studying.

Thank you for the information. Turns out my co-worker's son is in that same program, same time and everything. How many people are in your class?

Hello! I just came across your post, Congrats on getting into the program at Miami Lakes. The reason why I am writing is because maybe you can give me some advice or a few pointers as far as the waiting process, I took my exams and passed them in March and I submitted my application during that month in hopes of getting into the August program but I still have not received a letter of acceptance. I called just last week and they told me in the Nursing office to check back towards the end of June because they have not yet started sending out letters, but part of me is still worried and anxious having to wait. I was wondering if your waiting process was just as long? I am really hoping that I get accepte in for the August program...Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!

Sorry I took so long to reply. I had finals and was studying. I just finish the secong part of core. Start anatomy tomorrow. The same thing happen to me.I waited for my acceptance letter. They told me the next class would be april. They sent out the letter march 30th and orientation was april 14th. At orientation they told me class would start may 4th. They did not give us much time to prepare. It's alot of work. Make sure you organize everything before you start as far as family if you have kids. Let me know when you receive your letter. Give them a call by the end of june.
