LPN step test

Published

I am a LPN starting the RN program this fall, 2014. Anyone aware of any "free" practice sites for the LPN step test? Mine is scheduled for August. Thanks..Kathleen

Not sure I understand. What is the step test? I'm in an accelerated LPN to RN program and the only test we had prior to starting was 2 NLN tests.

The school that I'm looking to attend requires the STEP test as well for their LPN-RN program.I can't seem to find any info on it either :/ I'll try to call the school tomorrow & see if they can tell me anything about it, or if there is a study guide anywhere out there for it.

What school is this may I ask?

At the school I am attending we had to take the LPN step test as well. Its like the equivalent of the NCLEX boards test that you take in order to get your LPN license. When I was studying for the test I just studied the saunders PN NCLEX examination book.

Specializes in Telemetry/Stepdown, Government Nursing.

I took the step test. I didn't study at all & made a 74. I've been working full-time as an LPN for 12 years & I am constantly educating myself by looking up drugs & disease processes- making sure I really know my stuff. I would suggest you go over areas of nursing that you're not familiar with like pediatrics, psych, L&D, those are the ones that stumped me. They asked some basic nutrition questions. Pharmacology basics.
