LPN School

I am looking for an LPN program that I can pay cash each semester. I am located in the city of Detroit and I am willing to travel to Toledo, Do any one know any schools? Are there any school that do not require Pre req e to attendin Michigan or Ohio that I can pay cash?

There's plenty of PN programs around. Look into Toledo School of Practical Nursing, Everest, Athena , PSI, Dorsey, Stautzenberger, and Brown Mackie. Tuition varies from program to program. Contact and research all the programs and find what fits best for yourself. No program is going to be a perfect fit...just remember that!

I recommend that prospective students stay away from Everest because the parent corporation, Corinthian Colleges Inc., was recently forced to sell its campuses by the US Department of Education. Since the future of Everest College is uncertain, I wouldn't suggest this school to anyone looking to become a nurse.

It was my suggestion due to the fact that the Metro Detroit area (which I live in) only has a select few PN programs. Just wanted to offer options (forgot to mention Riverview). However, like I stated originally do your research. Make sure programs are accredited, inquire about loan options, courses for each level/pod, program retention rates, etc. Answering questions such as those should be useful in your decision making. Best of luck!
