LPN to RN

I am an LPN, working full time. What is the quickest/easiest way for me to become an RN? I am not interested in a BSN. Also, what exactly is an RN Diploma?

I did the bridge program. As long as you had been a L.P.N for one year and had all of the prereqs completed the program took only one year.

RN programs are available three different ways, the BSN, the ADN, and the Diploma RN. Most Diploma RN programs are hospital based training programs.

Nice thing about them is that the instructors are usually full-time staff at the hospital so they are not cosidered guest instructors coming in. Great clinical experience that way.

I am quite biased to Diploma RNs, that is how I attended nursing school back in the dark ages. And would do it all over again that way, if I was doing it now. I did already have a BS before starting.............

You could always check out excelsior college. Check out the distance learning discussion on this website. That is what I'm planning on doing because I have to work full time and go to school and with the traditional RN programs I can't work full time. They expect you in class 5 days a week. Just not possible to do and pay for my house, etc.
