I am a current LPN looking to obtain my RN degree online. I was curious if anyone would recommend taking online courses with excelsior college and whether its worth taking courses through dslii or achieve test prep. I currently work full time and want to take courses at my own pace. Probably 1 course at a time (online). Achieve test prep allows me to go at my own pace, but I have been hearing mixed reviews. I need to take all pre-reqs. Anyone have any info they can share with me?? Thank You! p.s... any other recommendations of preferred online nursing programs other than EC??

Excelsior allows you to go at your own pace. Achieve is an added expense of up to $20,000 (in addition to the tuition & fees due to Excelsior) for study sessions in a classroom setting. They are not a school and therefore ineligible for financial aid.
You DO NOT take Excelsior classes via Achieve. You take the same challenge exams as any other student you are just paying for a non-affiliated pre- test tutor session at Achieve. For some this is the best choice, for others it is cost prohibitive.
If you are a motivated independent learner save the extra $$$ and apply directly through Excelsior

There are no completely all online LPN-RN programs. You still have to do clinical hours, and depending on the state you are in, classroom time. Check with your SBON and make sure any classes you take thru any place online are accredited and approved by your SBON, otherwise you could be out a LOT of money and not be able to sit for the NCLEX. Good luck!
Even Excelsior has a 3-day in person clinical assessment exam...
