I'd noticed that the majority of subject matter and specialty articles are geared toward RN's. I'm beginning to regret getting my LPN license. Hospitals in VA don't consider us LPN's but consider us Techs and the pay to go with it. I can almost make the same working in a grocery store. It's humiliating and quite depressing. Anyone else feel the same?

I just got admitted into my nursing programme as well and I was advised not to go for LPN buh RN people said LPN:s aint recognized,,,,
Go for your RN and leave the LPN out! LPN's are being phased out unless you're working in nursing homes or a few doctor's offices and/or home health but that seems to about all. Don't waste your money on LPN school ... go for your RN. They don't pay LPN's.

I did after a while and got my RN. Honestly once I got it, I wished I had done it A LOT SOONER. Better money, more options, more respect, etc. I don't even feel like I can really recommend the LVN anymore. Especially not where I live now. Where I lived when I was an LVN I made good money, but here its a joke! Sorry OP
