We had to have CNA certification and CPR for healthcare providers. If you don't have a college degree (associates or bachelors) you have to do TABE testing which general stuff - I didn't have to take it, so not really sure what's on it. They encourage you to have A&P and Medical Terminology because it puts you ahead in the program, but they can be completed as part of the program as well. I have taken all my other sciences to be able to bridge to RN and find that I have an easier time with some of the work because I understand all the physiology better and it just makes more sense, chemistry has also helped.

I know a lot of us are planning to go on to get our RN, and we're focusing on the pre-reqs for that, but I was curious...what are/were the pre-reqs for your LPN program?
I am planning on attending Butler Tech Vocational School in Ohio and for the class beginning August 2007 we must complete the following before being offered a seat in the class:
-STNA certification (CNA)
-CPR/BLS card
-Medical Terminology class
-First Aid class
I'm interested to see what different programs require, so tell me, what must you do to get where you want to be?
