lpn pay in Ltc

I just got hired at a Ltc facility and they're starting me @16.50 hr for prn. I have almost 5 years of experience. Is this normal pay around the Charlotte area?

I am an LPN and have been one for only a year. I make 17.50 an hour, although I live in KY, I hope this helps :)

Ok thanks. In Ohio I made 20.00hr. Such a big difference.

Did it take u long to find a job after relocating

I found this job in like a month and it's only prn. I'm still looking for a full time job though. I was interviewed twice but have to call in a week to see if in hired. It's through Carolina medical system.

As a new Nurse I was started with 19$. I make 20 now. I have 1.5 years of experience. I do work in a small town outside of Charlotte, however.

Thanks. I'm not having any luck finding full time work and I've been here since November ?

Just as a comparison, I have been an LPN for 10 years. In East TN, I make $18.50/hour. I haven't made less than $15/hour for the past 5 or 6 years. When I first started out in 2003, I made $11.50/hour. As far as I can tell NC is not that much different from East TN as far as nursing pay goes.

It took me a while to find a full time job also. I'm working full time now like 30 minutes away from Charlotte. I make 20.00 an hour
