LPN nursing experience

Okay, i just got my license, I've put in like 20 applications. How can you get a job without any nursing experience? A recruiter called me today and said that after i have a year or so under my belt to call them back. I need a job now! I just hope that all the other places i put in aps at won't require so much to get a job! Any advice on how to convince them i would be a good risk would be appreciated!!!!!:uhoh3:

shart economy, too many want too few jobs, even in health care.

Nursing homes are always hiring and will give you a chance as a new nurse. How about an agency? Per diem? Part time?

Well, just to update, I was offered a job today! In a very nice assisted living facility. Snatched it right up!!!!! Im so excited to begin my career!!!!!

Wonderful news! I too am a new nurse and my first job is in a rehab/LTC facility. It took me only a couple of weeks to get the job. It's all in selling yourself to the employer both in writing on the resume and in the interview. You have the skills and the maturity and that's what they are looking for.

Good luck in your new job!
