Hey everyone! Just need some advice, I am currently attending an lpn program at lincoln tech in paramus, i am in my 2nd quarter but i am planning to just switch to dover business college because I am not sure if I am going to make it in my Pharmacology class, I am a little stressed. I am not sure if that is a good idea. The reason I might be amking this decision is becuase I dont want to wait to come bac just to take one class or two class and have to pay 2000.00 just to go back. I rather just keep it moving to another school.

Can anyone give me any advice or opinion on these schools.

I have always wanted to be a nurse, and I seem to always struggle.

Also, The environment in my class is pathetic everyone just care about themselves. Is crazy. There is so much negativity, and competition.

Any advice/tips

Moved to NJ state nursing program forum to elicit further response. Most schools will not accept transfer of completed nursing courses, be sure to check into this before switching schools

I already looked into that, the dean will contact me tomorrow regarding that information.

Wow, this is a tough one. I would advise against switching schools. Instead, focus on finding ways to make studying easier on yourself. No matter where you go to school, the own ness of your education is on you. Pharm can be difficult, but there are some really good books out there to help you make sense of it and remember it easier. I also like to listen to Pharmacology songs on YouTube . Hope that helps

Hello everyone! Would like to comment on this. I went to LTI for day. I was probably in your class. I struggled too much and ended up dropping out to return for night. I started last September, failed funds, returned and passed funds. Q2 came and pharm was killin me!

I found the work load to be way too much, but going to another school probably will not solve the problem. If you utilize our teachers, and deans they will help you to make the right choice. The teachers especially know who's cut out for this and who isn't. They will work with you and be honest too.

I do suffer from an LD and there is nothing wrong with that and nothing to be offended by either. I currently have to be medicated in order to get my work done, and should have done that from day one.

I had no life and didn't mind it either, but my LD caused a huge problem for me with passing, not because I am stupid or could not understand either. It was because of the block it causes for certain things like time management, anxiety, test taking,ect.....

Our teachers knew this about me. They put in a lot of time and effort to help me and saw the same time and effort I was putting in. So,if you haven't befriended them,do it now. They are excellent.

I wish you luck with this program because 1 year most people can not complete. I am glad I made the choice to come back for nights. If you want it badly enough, you'll do what it takes. Going to the doctor for an evaluation is not a terrible thing.

And yes I agree on the class setting if we were in the same class. Very negative, selfish and rude. There are a few that I did enjoy their company but most I really couldn't stand to be around.
