Currently an LPN, thinking of getting my ADN but would be age 65 when I graduate. I’m in great shape, really enjoy Nursing, just looking to expand my opportunities. Is anyone familiar with others that have gone from LPN to ADN in their 60’s?

Absolutely NOT! When I was a CNA, I took care of an elderly woman in her early 90s. She was a teacher for 40 years, retired, and went to nursing school and got her LPN when she was 62.

What's wrong with getting your RN? I'd say as long as it doesn't cost $20,000 (if you don't have that laying around) then go for it.

Hi did you ever get your ADN?
I am applying to the ADN program this December for Fall, 2023 start.
Are you in a similar situation?
Yes I am. Its one of the things I have wanted to do for a long time. I am looking for an online LPN to RN and have applied to one of them but I don't think I will have enough points.
What state are you in?
I live in Hawaii

You do know you will have to do 'in person' clinicals.
Yes, One of the programs that I applied for you fly to the location and are able to do the clinicals in a period of about 8-10 days or so per semester. The program accepts LPN and paramedics all over the US.
