Lost??? need help

Ok! Hear is I went to medical assistant school and my biggest fear came true I could NOT find work. Employers wanted me to have 2+ experience. How?? So I got my CNA well because why not I have being working as a CNA for a year+ and I love it, but am bitter! Am at a point now do I give up on the MA and go back to school or just work as CNA. Now, I do want to go back but am not sure for what I like the LPN route but I hear and research that they are being phased out in hospital but I don't want to work in hospitals at all! So I ask what is a girl to do. Still look for work as a MA just work and see what doors open or go back to school for what??? Is question. Thank you for your help and lets not be rude am just asking for sound advice!

I think you should do what makes you happy. If you enjoy being a CNA and can live off of your salary then you should continue to do what you want and possibly go to school to become an LPN. If you really want to get a job as a medical assistant then you should work hard on getting your name out there and be perusing a job in that field. It sounds like you have a good thing going. No need to go back to school if you are happy. If you want a change, figure out what it is you really love and go for it. ;)

Could you work as an MA with the facility where you're currently a CNA? Maybe you could try to get in somewhere as a CNA and then apply for MA jobs?

Don't know if you have considered this or not, so I apologize if you have--but have you ever thought of working in a jail? My former company had medical assistants there. It was pretty much the same work you would do in a doctors office, just your patients are in jumpsuits lol.

@Nurse2bKimberly I thought about it but I where I live the mainly hire LPN or RN I actually want to work in a jail. Am currently enrolled in LPN school I don't start till Spring but on the fence. @sandram89 No they don't hire MA just CNA, LPN and RN.
