Looking for a way to study

Hello, everyone!

I'm new to allnurses. I'm thankful that this forum exists.

More than five years ago, I graduated from a college in NY with another degree. I intended on pursuing an MA degree in Marital and Family Counseling, but due to a life changing experience this summer, I decided to change my career into nursing. I cannot afford to return to the US at the moment, so I am looking into the possibility of studying through distance learning. I have looked into the internet, but I have not found one that I am satisfied with. Will any of you have a first-hand knowlege of a distance learning pre-nursing program? I would greatly appreciate any advice you can give me.

But, if you sift through the threads, or maybe someone knows specifically, of some of the pre-nursing type courses (micro, A&P) that would transfer to a college for credit when the time came for working on a nursing degree. I would think in many cases that your English, psychology type courses would transfer and be helpful.

Good luck!

At this point there are literally hundreds of colleges that offer their courses online. Why not look into the school where you hope to go to nursing school. See if they offer their courses online. The options for pre-nursing courses are many, as most colleges have expanded their online options the last five years or so.

Good luck!
