Looking for suggestions

I want to go back to school for nursing I have about 10 years ago completed a medical assisting program that you go to one of those schools for a couple of months and get a certificate for medical assisting since I received my certificate I have not worked in the medical field at all because I had no experience my question is I'm want to go back to school to be a LPN and then in the future and RN I'm wondering what my best options would be to do this seeing how I have already went to school for medical assisting what I have to complete the full LPN program.

You will need to complete a full program whichever program you decide. A MA certificate carries no college credit, plus you haven't used the training, so you will be starting from zero.

You can start by taking pre-requisite courses at your local community college- a good first step for both LPN or RN.

I completed a medical assisting program in 2000. I completed an LPN program in 2005. You will need to complete the LPN program from start to finish. You will not receive advanced placement for having completed a MA program.

Medical assisting is part of the medical model of care provision, while nursing falls under the nursing model of care. The two programs are like apples and oranges.
