I am looking into moving to Texas. Is it best to apply for licensing before applying for jobs or apply for jobs then get a Texas license?

Hi there! It would be best to apply for licensing since that may take some time.

Definitely get license before job just because it's a hot area. Lots of people are moving here right now and they will most likely overlook your application if you need to still get a license in the state, so apply when you're ready to move.

I am a RN with my masters in Nursing. I have been a nurse for 18 years and have been teaching for 7 at a BN college in Manitoba Canada. My family is considering moving to Texas, anyone know who I would contact to find out what I would need to do to get registered and work/teach in the USA?
