Hi all,
Anyone have any good resources, articles or references for community development/program planning for the marginalized community (specifically homelessness or the working poor).
Much appreciated!

Hello,
Right now I don't have access to any but, would like to try to direct you to where there may be some.
I am a newly accepted Master's entry nursing student who is also interested in earning my Masters in social work.
You may find this homelessness and community developement information if you contact a graduate school of social work or even through the National Association of Social Workers.
Good luck,
Gen
p.s. I have fine tuned my goal to work towards the community health np, but first I must complete the MSN, (which is 107 credit hours first, nearly another bachelor's degree)

Check your state's Bureau of primary healthcare for the names of any Federally qualified health centers/community health centers in your region. Some deal almost exclusively with migrant or homeless patients. The Migrant Clinicians Network may also be a good resource for you.

Hi Canada:
Working for San Diego County, we work with a lot of homeless people as we are the line of "last resort."
I would suggest you contact County agencies as they usually are the ones who work for the poor.
How far are you from San Diego. We are hiring.
