looking for a job!!!!!!!!

Well I just graduated in May 2007 and took some time off to study for my NCLEX amidst personal problems that I was going through. I took my boards in Oct and passed; so I am a new RN, BSN. But I am now looking for an internship program. It seems like every job that I have seen requires experience, so my question is how I am I supposed to get the experience if I am not given a chance as a new grad?:uhoh21:

The internships are not starting until Jan. 08. Baylor has several intern positions posted as well as Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and other THR hospitals. There was a big nursing/healthcare job fair listed in this past Sunday's paper but I don't remember when it will be held.

There are a lot of opportunities for new grads but you will have to wait until Jan. to start. If you need something now you may want to check with some of the smaller hospitals.

That was quick! Congrats on the job. You got a good starting salary. The internships will open back up in June, so worst case if you didn't get in one in Jan. you can start early and apply for June.

wow that was a high salary quote. I was quoted 23.50/hr and I have 2 yrs nursing experience. But I was also looking into an internship outside of my current specialty which is med surg.

Tawillia are u a mind-reader? My plan is to join the june internship if I am not able to get something in January. I start orientation Mon 10/15; thanks once again for ur insights. By the way everyone say I have a high salary quote for a new grad; all I can say is thank GOD for HIS mercies.
