I go to a community college upstate and it'll take me 3 1/2 years total...including prereqs and nursing program. Good luck!

thanks so much for the information. it almost like BSN programme i guess? thanks n gudluck..

I took 2 classes of prereq's while I worked full time and they took me about 2 years. Now I start nursing school in September and I should graduate at the end of spring 2011. So almost 3 1/2 to 4 years for me. Add a year between getting accepted and actually starting.

I'm not in NY but my Associate's program (including pre-reqs) takes 3 1/2 years. It took 3 full-time semesters to get though the pre-reqs and then it's 4 full-time semesters for the actual nursing program.

Depends on the program you're applying for. In most cases you will need at least a year to complete your prereqs and then the nursing clinicals start, which I guess take 2 years to complete. Think 3 years unless you find a 2 year program where you do your science courses and clinicals at the same time, but I don't know if there is anything out there like that.

Ours takes at least 3 yrs because you need the preq's before applying.
