Lonestar FALL 2016.

Anybody applying for the FALL 2016 ADN program? I am planning on attending CYFAIR. How competitive is it and what were the minimum scores that anybody has seen calculated from the scoring chart admission?

With the HESI exam, would it be sufficient enough to just take A&P I or would I need to take A&P II as well in order to be able to answer the questions?

:dead: I've been stressing out over this...

Hi...Hope current student sees and responds to your query.

I know generally you want to aim for at least a score of 7+ no matter which campus you're applying to. A 7.5 is very competitive from what I've seen too. You don't have to take a&p2 before the hesi in order to do well at all, but it depends on how well you did in a&p1 and how easy that was for you.

Hello, I will be applying to Lone star North Harris. I actually already took the Hesi but it was for HCC and lone star's Hesi has vocab and critical thinking so i have to retake it. Hopefully i dont end up getting a lower score than my first one lol! studying for about a month then will take it mid Feb. Anatomy section is kinda difficult because you can get questions from about anything involving A&P.

Hello

I am applying to the Montgomery campus as my first choice and Tomball as my second. My HESI score was a 92.8 which put me at 7.212 out of 8 points. Hopefully thats enough to get into Moco!

Hello Taylor,

Nice score on the Hesi. How was the vocab? Medical terminology? Or basic definitions?

A little of both, it was actually really easy. Most of it you can get just from context clues

Oh okay thank you, I did good on my first Hesi. I got at 94. But lone star said I can't use that score because it did not have vocab and critical thinking, so I have to retake... -_-

you'll do fine then. they arent even counting the critical thinking for this app period

I hope somebody can answer this for me. I'm applying for the nursing program fall 2016. I've had my three shot sessions of hep B already but I want to know if I need to have the hep B titer results by the deadline (which it is this Monday).

TIA!

Hello,

Did you just get your hepatitis B recently or has it been over three years? And we'll from what I know is that that want your results to make sure you still have the vaccine in your system. If not you will need to either get the series of shots again or the booster. Hope this helps. I'm also applying for 2016 fall and was having to get the titer.just got my results back so it came back negative so I need to get the series over again which I will get done Monday and hopefully turn in my app on time!:bag:

I finished with all the sessions a month ago but I was just informed that I also need a hep B titer so I went to get my blood drawn but I doubt the results will be ready for Monday so I am really nervous about it :/

Well I think you should be okay I mean you just finished your series of shots, I don't know why they told you to get the hepatitis B titer. Cause that's really just to see if you need to get the series of shots again. I think you should call them on Monday and just ask them once more just to clarify. Also it took me 1 day to get my results for the titer.
