Loan Repayment

Hello! Does the VA pay off student loans? Someone was telling me that you can have your loans forgiven if you work at the VA.

You will, need to check with your local VA since each one offers different loan repayments based on their needs and funding.

No, the loans are not "forgiven".

There is the possibility of a loan repayment program (for federally-insured loans only) in which a maximum amount per year may be awarded for employees who fit a specific criteria; most of us wouldn't qualify because we'd be in 'excepted service'.
