Linfield BSN 2023 Spring

Hi!! I applied to Spring 23 cohort too!! I’m just nervous having no experience in healthcare (largely due to covid-19) is going to restrict me from getting in! I have a 4.0 GPA overall and in my sciences (Chem, A&P)  but I am currently in Micro and when I spoke to the associate director of admissions she said they prefer you to have everything done…I am from california so that makes it even harder. Oct 1st couldn’t come soon enough!

Hi Simone! I did talk to someone through admissions as well and they told me they had preferred everything be completed as well. I have completed all the prerequisites except for a BI 101 class which is really a prerequisite to A&P so I don't think that should way me down very much. I did see a post last year of someone with similar stats and not too much healthcare experience. I believe she was waitlisted and eventually offered a spot! A 4.0 is great good luck to you. They also did tell me as long as you put the courses as planned/in progress they count it!

It is just weird to me because in all the CA nursing schools they make it seem fine to have courses left in progress when applying for the next semester, which makes sense to me too! Oh, thank you so much that is actually really helpful to hear that a person was in my same position! I put them in progress so fingers crossed! Even if I do not get in I will apply again and I am planning to get my CNA license in December (I should've done it early Summer and I don't know why I didn't!). Good luck to you!

Any news?! Tomorrows a weekend so I was thinking anytime today. I haven’t heard anything back yet

Decisions come out tomorrow!! 10/1. Not sure what time I just know sometime tomorrow. I believe it’ll be in your Linfield portal

I also applied to this program and emailed today to see when notifications will go out. Evidently they were supposed to go out by 5pm today but they've had some technical difficulties. I just checked my application in the student portal and there's a status update to my application. It looks like I was accepted? But I'm hesitant to celebrate because I feel like it could be wrong. 

I'm curious if anyone else's application status has changed?

Congratulations! Did you receive an email notification to check your application status? I'm so worried my acceptance is a mistake since I haven't received a email notification yet.

I got the email to check. But I don't think they'd put it in your portal if it was a mistake

Ha. Yeah, you're right. I've seen so many nursing school admission waitlists/rejections that maybe I'm a little stunned ?
