  1. https://www.facebook.com/groups/3296448957274041/?ref=share here’s the link! I just made it
  2. Should we make a facebook group for this cohort? I’ve seen other cohorts do that. For roommates studying ect!
  3. I got the email to check. But I don't think they'd put it in your portal if it was a mistake
  4. IM IN! just got my notification Congrats! I will see you Spring! Do not be hesitant to celebrate this is an amazing accomplishment
  5. Good luck! Maybe we’ll be in the same cohort. Sending positive vibes
  6. Any news?! Tomorrows a weekend so I was thinking anytime today. I haven’t heard anything back yet
  7. Hi Simone! I did talk to someone through admissions as well and they told me they had preferred everything be completed as well. I have completed all the prerequisites except for a BI 101 class which is really a prerequisite to A&P so I don't think that should way me down very much. I did see a post last year of someone with similar stats and not too much healthcare experience. I believe she was waitlisted and eventually offered a spot! A 4.0 is great good luck to you. They also did tell me as long as you put the courses as planned/in progress they count it!
  8. Hey guys, I haven’t seen an article yet about this application cohort. I wanted to see if anyone was willing to share their stats. It says notifications are supposed to go out by Oct 1! I’m super nervous. Interviewed for OHSU last year and got denied I’m also waitlisted for UPs Summer start I also have one prereq in progress Here’s mine : 3.66 overall 4.0 in A&P 3.6 in science GPA 120+ direct patient care Volunteer for Red Cross 4hrs Pharmacy tech license 320
  9. I would look into specific requirements for WA NP license transfer. It may require a certain amount of hours worked in the state you were licensed in originally. I believe oregon requires 400 hours min to transfer. If you have your RN degree you could do that and possibly do telehealth in the state you get the license from(which I hear is pretty lucrative)
  10. I’m in the same boat. I’ve been doing research on jobs and a lot offer sign on bonuses and the VA hospitals offer differing amounts of loan forgiveness(I saw $21,500-$200000). I think that it could be worth it. If you love me dearly for a few years those loans will be paid off pretty quickly. Also with travel nursing locally after a year or so off experience you could be making enough to pay those loans off easily. There’s also scholarships like the VA HPSP that pay full tuition so if your willing to move after school you should definitely apply. They accept applications on a rolling basis and have a high need for rns
