Hi, I'm interested in going to Lincoln Tech in Edison, NJ. I wanted to know if there is a program that starts in november that I can still apply for? Or do I have to wait till January? How long was the program? Clinicals? Anyw weeks off during the program? How much was tuition(does it include books?) Finding a job afterwards? Pay?

Have you tried contacting the admissions department at the school? I know they don't usually post the information online and request that you meet with an admissions counselor to gain specific information that you are asking. Since it is a private for-profit (as opposed to a public or not for profit) school, generally anyone who qualifies and can pay the tuition fees will be accepted. The only issue might be with gaining financial aid at this point, but I believe that Lincoln Tech is primarily private student loans (not government backed loans or grants). Education is what you make of it.

Finding a job is difficult for new graduates regardless of which school they graduate from. Pay varies on the type of work and location within the state. I've seen new grad LPN jobs from as low as $10/hr to $21/hr.

I went to a public school. I recently graduated and I can start work as soon as I get the hard copy of my nursing license, but I start training on Wednesday. I'm sorry, I don't discuss salary.

Even LTC's are looking for experienced nurses. Agencies (home health/staffing) required 1-2 years experience. LPN's are rarely used if ever in a hospital environment. Some clinics & physician's offices use LPN's however many use MA's for cost savings.

You can do a search on salary.com to get an idea of pay rates in your area. You can search indeed.com for job postings for LPN's in your area, some include salary but it will give you an idea of what is available at the present time. Know that it does take a couple of months to get your actual license in NJ between background checks & review of files, plus passing the NCLEX. Some classmates waited 6 weeks (from mailing in their application) for authorization to take the NCLEX-PN. One suggestion is whatever program you decide to attend, be certain to put $500 aside along the way. NJ BoN fee is $200, the NCLEX test fee is $200, and it costs ~$75 for the comprehensive background check & fingerprinting.
