It seems as if there are a lot of us in limbo right now as I've noticed a decrease in talk about boards, OBLC, assignments, etc. Ever since school has been over and I found out my switch from Reserves to Active duty is being held up until October I feel a bit lost. I'm hoping that the board process will not be as long as my initial board process that took 10 months before I got commissioned. My family and I are so ready to become an Active Army family and set out on are family adventures. I knew I missed the Army when I left the first time, but all this waiting makes me have a little angst over the thought of the board possibly denying my Active duty request. Anyway, hope all of you are holding up during this limbo process. I'm almost ready to just do a class here or there towards my Masters just to stay a little focused on something other than counting down the months until October!!! 11 wks 2 days and a wake up!!! Pathetic I know!!!

Don't feel alone. :)
Even though I'm commissioning this thursday, I still don't know how many years I'll be in for. I'm on an alternate list for loan repayment. My parents are freaked cause I'm swearing in but don't know whether its for 3 years or 4. We also don't know when I'll get orders. There is a chance that I'll have to keep my apartment even after I leave for COT in August because no orders = no move.
I'm in a limbo boat for the next month and have been since graduation because no hospital would hire a new RN if shes leaving at the end of summer. It kinda drives one stir crazy to go from hectic busy in nursing school to nadda during the summer. lol
Welcome to the military? Best of Luck!
Thanks Lunah! You always have such a positive presence!!!

I'm assuming your COT is like our OBLC? So you get commissioned this Thursday?!?! Fantastic! I'm not sure how long you guys have to wait for your COT orders, but from what I've seen on here some get their first duty assignment with their OBLC orders and some leave for OBLC not knowing their next move. Seems a bit difficult to plan, but at least you know it's coming soon!!! I guess it would be a little unnerving for you since you're out of school and not working. 3 years vs 4 years is really not that much of a difference. Your first year in is going to be class after class after class and will fly by!! I'm excited for you and hope that Thursday you get the answers you want and get to embark on your adventure VERY soon!!! Good luck!!!:w00t:

Same here. Being in limbo sucks. -___-
LOL! Well, my Magic 8 Ball has assured me that all will be well. Ha! I just keep on keepin' on ... trying to sell the house, studying for my Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN) exam ... all that good stuff. :) July is going quickly! I'm sure October will be here before we know it. Sorta.
