Licensure Time Line

Published

I just wanted to list my time line for some of you since I have seen many people asking. It will somewhat vary for everyone but here is an idea!

Submitted application to test: July 22

Received ATT: August 9

NCLEX: August 23

Finger printing: September 9

License listed as active on NJ BON: September 13

Hope this helps!

Well now I am jealous.

I sent my application to test in on August 2.

Received fingerprinting paperwork on August 23 and completed that on September 6.

Called them on September 8 to inquire about the status of my application and was told that they hadn't put me into the computer until August 19, and they still hadn't processed the paperwork from my school...which was sent to them around the same date as my application.

Still waiting for the ATT....

Specializes in PICU, Sedation/Radiology, PACU.

Here was mine:

Fingerprinted on June 1st.

Received ATT on June 23rd

Took NCLEX June 24th

Name posted on BON website: July 14th

Total time from application to licensure: April 26-July 14th: 77 days

Girls I am in the boat with You but it is not looking good...

Sent in Application to the BON: June 10th

Fingerprinted on August 2st.

Received ATT on July 23rd

Took NCLEX August 12th .......

After 6 weeks of calling the BON, Today is Sept 22. I demanded to talk to someone in exams processing...They can not verify my school.......It is a mess because I went to school out of state in VA.

I am still waiting to sort about this mess.. I just want to sit down and cry. I worked very hard in school, and graduated in June. All my friends in VA have jobs and got their number within 3 days of taking the NCLEX..

I turn 25 tomorrow and I am so depressed about this. I have student loans I can't pay because the BON keeps giving me a run around, and I am working as a home care aid for 9 dollars an hour...

I am so embarassed when I talk to my friends from school. I had the highest GPA in my class and was 2 of 50 chosen for a preceptorship in an ICU position. I feel like I have no controll over any of this.

If it has been 6 weeks and they claim your application or nclex still has processing issues, demand to talk to someone. It is most likly a bigger issue.

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

Mailed in application July 18

ATT: Aug 9

NCLEX: Aug 11

Fingerprinting: Aug 25 (results received by BoN on this date)

License posted on BoN: Sept. 19

Still waiting for hard copy of the license, apparently cannot start working as a nurse without it.

Bulldogmom....

I also went to school out of state and yet another call to the BON has yielded nothing. They are still showing my letter of completion as "pending" and can't give me a straight answer if it is even in their possession or not. I asked to speak with someone else and they said they couldn't transfer calls.

Pretty upset over here....

Finally got my ATT on 10/5. Scheduled NCLEX for 10/26 and hopefully it's all smooth sailing from there.

It was hard to get a date in central NJ--my usual centers are Somerset and Princeton; Somerset had nothing until November and Princeton had only the 14 and 26.

Happy to report that I am officially an RN!

Sent application in August 2.

Fingerprinting paperwork received on August 23 and completed September 6.

ATT issued on 10/5.

NCLEX on 10/19.

License issued (BON website) 10/31.

Almost three months from start to finish but it's done and I don't really care anymore!!!
