Licensure application

I am a newly graduate from Philippines and I'm a greencard holder. I've already submitted my request and other forms in my school to be mailed directly to the California Board of Nursing. I just got married after graduation. The records that I have to the school (TOR,diploma,etc..) is using my maiden name, but the 3 forms from the California Board of Nursing that I've submitted to the school, I used my married name. My question is, I haven't submitted my application for NCLEX because I dont know if is it ok to use my maiden name instead of my married name because my identification i.d here in California is using my maiden name. although the 3 forms that i have passed from the school using my married name will be send to the CA-BON.and i'm confuse if i could use my maiden name eventhough the BON will receive some documents using my married name...

i hope i've stated my concerns clearly.. help pls.. thanks!Copy%20of%20wink.gif

Moved to the International forum and title changed to licensure application as you are not applying for NCLEX but to be a RN of which NCLEX is just a part of that application.

As long as Ca are aware of name change I doubt you will have any problems, I would send in a copy of marriage certificate. Have you taken local boards as Ca are very strict and do require a local license?

Already answered this thread on the Philippine Forum.

We ask that you do not post on multiple threads with the same question, it makes it hard for others to follow.

The issue is that the documents from the school are in one name and the licensure application are in another. CA cannot do a thing without legal verification of the marriage certificate. Same is in a name change of any type. They need the legal document for the change.
