Licensing Question??

Hey, I am currently an LPN trying to get my RN online..... I live in Georgia but would like to get my license in TN is that possible? I have family in TN so would I have to use their address to get the license?

I know this is a random question lol...........

    You can use your Georgia license to obtain a Tennessee license. You can live anywhere in the United States and still obtain a Tennessee nursing license.

    You have two choices: (1) obtain a Georgia license first, and then apply for a TN license by endorsement, or (2) directly apply for a TN license by examination.

    Can you explain what an endorsement is, how it happens?

    you need to communicate with the BON in TN to get an application and find out about the process. I would not recommend "using" an address out of the state where you live. That may be construed as fraud in certain circumstances and you could end up with NO license. Always be upfront about everything with the BON, in every state.
