I am a licensed registered nurse in the state of NY. I have lived in Georgia for 7 years and have not been practicing. I want to get back into nursing. How do I get my Georgia nursing license? I am having trouble starting the process. Any help would be appreciated!

Only the Georgia/New York Boards of Nursing can answer your questions.

Do you currently have an active NY RN license? If yes, you need to apply for endorsement of license to Georgia. The forms of endorsement should be on Georgia's BON website. Good luck.

I did this exact same thing. My NY license was still current.
It's a pain. You need fingerprints, transcript, several forms of ID, and proof that you worked as a nurse in the past few years (which sounds like you don't have so you may need to do continuing Ed and submit that)
Info is on GA BON. Good luck!
