Hi I just moved to Rochester NY I'm a RN for 5 years in PR I would like to change my LICENCE to NY can I endorse my LICENCE here in NY and how can I do it thanks

    1. Visit the New York Board of Nursing website.

    2. Look for the information on obtaining a license by endorsement.

    3. Nursing licenses are not ever 'changed' from one state to another. Rather, you hold a license from the state board of nursing that originally granted your first license, then you utilize that license to obtain a NY nursing license via the endorsement process. Again, visit the NY BON website to find out what steps you need to take to obtain a NY license by endorsement.
