Thanks nananurse3. I know it will be hard work, but I'm ready!!! I don't think I've ever been so excited about something :yeah::yeah::yeah:

:chuckleHi Coffeefix,

It's good to hear from the new people who are excited to start in nursing. After all these years in nursing it sometimes gets difficult to remember why I chose this path. You all are a good reminder. when does your classes start? Just wait till you get your clinical uniforms. Just remember someday you get to wear scrubs. It'll ruin you forever. All you'll own will be scrubs. Congratas again I'm excited for you also.

I am really excited to but not loking forward to the clinical uniform (But I cant' wait to shop for them with you mom!). Our classes start the 25th of Aug.but we have registration the 1st and orientation on the 5th! But till then we have a thousand other things to get done and little time to do it in.

Hey coffeefix are you in the LPN program?

Nananurse3 your awsome!!

nursetobe2 I know your excited. I'm excited too. We'll go shopping on the 6th or the 7th. Yea!!! I bet we wont find much at Bridge street for your class. Any way you will know alot more on the 5th. I hope more of your future class mates find this site. :nuke::nurse:

Hi nursetobe2- I'm in the RN program. We register next Friday and classes begin Aug 25th. I'm taking Micro this summer so it's just been crazy!!!!! I have my physical this tuesday and finish all of my blood work. I still have to shop for my uniform, but I'll squeez that in some time. I've worked so hard and long to get to this point.......it doesn't seem real!!!!!!!

I wouldn't worry about the uniform you don't (or at least I don't) need it till we start clinicals. I will eventually get my RN just wanted to be able to work and make some money while I do it. I'm hoping to find someplace to work that will pay for me to go back to school, that way I pay for my LPN and get my RN. Well good luck and I hope everything works out well for you.

Congrats all for your acceptance to Calhoun's nursing programs! :) Best of luck. Do any of you know if Calhoun has a spring starting nursing program, or is it just every fall? I hope it's spring too! Also, if there is a spring start, when is the application deadline? All I see on their website is a deadline of May the 30th. Surely that would be meant for the Fall. I am wanting to move back home to go to nursing school after all the trouble I'm having here in Colorado with the waitlists, and I know Calhoun is a good school. To all of you, how long did it take you to get accepted to the nursing program (i'm looking at the RN program specifically)? I know I can and will make excellent scores on the Compass reading exam -- does that help bump me up? I do have some medical background too -- did a medical assisting program and CNA training first. Looking to finish A&P soon and maybe Math too, to help give me a higher score. Is it really very hard to get into the A.D.N. program? Any insights would be much appreciated. Thank you, and best wishes to all!
