Let's Start A Study Group

Hello, I am new to Allnurses.com but not new to distance learning. I've been exploring Excelsior College for 4 yrs now. However, the good Lord has finally put me in a position to afford the tests. I was wondering if we have some indidviduals studying for NC1 or those who have taken the tests and passed and could add some study pointers. Also, how long did it take to complete NC1 study+test time? I have purchased the Fundamentals of Nursing and Mosby's Comprehensive NCLEX books. Help is greatly appreciated.

    I am currently studying for NC 1. I have all my books and I just joined the quickexams NC 1 Class. I am hoping to take the exam by the end of March so I have alot of studying to do. As soon as I get paid this Friday I am going to schedule my date. I have heard this is the best way to get yourself motivated and stay on your plan...schedule the test date, then study.

    This is exactly what I did and it worked for me !!! If you study without a test date, I assure that you will never feel like you want to call them to get a test date.

    It is a online study course...they are inexpensive and so far I like it alot. There is no contract or commitment you just pay for each review class as you go along. Each one is $40. They send you a ZIP file of review information and an activation key for the classroom.
