    They break students up by their GPA.

    So 2.5-3.0 3.0-3.5 and so on.

    Then they choose 5 people from each GPA and pick 10 people from the 4.0 GPA range. Totaling 40 people a semester. I've been told that once they put you into your GPA category it is a random lottery but I have also heard that they go through applications and try to pick the best 5 from each group of GPA's. sorry if that sounds confusing it's hard to explain. But no they do not do a point system.
