Hi everyone, I got accepted at LATTC for Fall 2013. Im excited and pretty nervous too because I really dont know what to expect and how's the class is doing in terms of professors, the program itself, which hospital for clinicals etc... If someone from the school or someone who got accepted also for fall2013 please it would be nice to share your thoughts... :D

Hey I was also accepted and I am starting Fall 2013. I've been pretty nervous but so excited to start. I've been getting everything on the supply list and I'm looking forward to our orientation coming next month. :)

Have u bought all the books? I have it all, but i really wanted an ebook because it was soooo heavy. I'll just wait till our orientation and i'll ask if ebooks are ok, then i'll sell my books. I m having a hard time looking for the sweeping hand watch and the shoes.

I have everything except the watch. I had trouble finding shoes as well. After some trial and error I was told that we have to have nursing shoes (no running shoes etc) for clinicals. So I just purchased a pair of all white leather Cherokee shoes from allheart. I wish they would have been more specific in our dress code. Did you buy your stethoscope from the bookstore too? Other than that I suppose they're going to tell us everything at orientation. Looking at my uniforms gets me so excited to start! :)

Me too, im having a hard time finding a watch with a sweepng second hand and the shoes too. I bought my stethoscope at amazon, its prestige for $39.00.

I ordered a watch online from Walmart by Timex and it says it has a secondhand sweep so I'm praying it is. I was told by one of the front desk workers in the allied health office that we had to buy our stethoscope from the book store any other type would not be accepted (after I purchased a litman -_-) just an FYI.

Really? Wth! Nobody told me about that. I guess all our questions will be answered on our orientation day.

Yeah I had the same reaction. But I've checked in with allied health on everything I have to make sure I don't have anything I don't need other than an extra stethoscope lol.

So hows the watch from walmart?

It was a bust. Like almost every watch online that said it was a sweeping second hand, it wasn't. I ended up finding one by a brand called Citizen in dtla.

Good thing i didnt bought it. I still dont have one, maybe going downtown is a good idea.

Have you heard anything about the fire safety training tomorrow? I'm assuming we have to go in our uniforms but not sure what exactly we'll be doing or what to bring.
