I tried to call the NJBON but they didn't have a clue; Can we laminate our nursing licenses? I understand that I won't be carrying it with me on a daily basis, but the paper is so flimsy! Does anyone have any experience with using a laminated card?
Thanks!

My state (among others) has done away with "physical" (paper or plastic) licenses entirely, and more and more states are doing that. NJ probably will do it soon. What are you going to "use" your license for that it needs to be laminated? You don't need to show it to employers -- they're required now to verify your license directly with the state BON (via the website), not make a copy of the paper license for your file. There really isn't anything that you do with a paper license any more ...
Nothing official really. For one, I'd like to keep it safe (I like to save everything and I KNOW I'm going to be saving my first license) and also for those lovely 'nurse' discounts at Disney. Maybe I'll just make a good copy of it and laminate that one.
Thanks for your response though!
