I'm interested in knowing this as well.

I just got my acceptance email! I'm hoping to get into Seattle Central or North Seattle instead, but this is a great alternate choice! Yay for King County.

Background Info: I have a bachelor's degree, excellent pre-req grades, and a high TEAS score. I only receive 4/10 points for work experience.

I am a graduate... but not a fan.

If you get in somewhere else, go.

Program is extremely disorganized, instructors are completely inconsistent, RN program director is one of the most unprofessional judgemental individuals I have ever met.

Aside from the program, the school itself has serious issues with organization and professionalism. I've had issues with everything from Financial aid, to getting registered for the CORRECT class.

Sidebar-

I'm not bitter, just stating facts. Obviously, I graduated... so I made it through the program. I busted my behind to gain every ounce of knowledge out of that program I could, which means I did a lot of "self teaching." The Med/Surg theory classes were completely useless. Information was inconsistent and the instructors didn't actually "teach" me anything. I learned everything from the RNs that I worked with while I was in nursing school working as a Nurse Tech. I graduated with a 4.0gpa and was one of the first people in my class to gain employment. To my knowledge, less than 1/3 of my graduating class of 23 are actually gainfully employed as RNs, and only 3 of us (in that 1/3rd) work in hospitals, 2 of us in the ICU (at different hospitals).

Not a good experience with the school or the program at all.

If I'd have known then what I know now.... famous last words, huh?

Live and Learn....

Sorry if this wasn't what you wanted to hear, but it's my honest personal experience.

Best of luck to you. :)

Oh, don't worry- I got into Seattle Central and will be going there instead. Truth be told, I have heard -nothing- positive about LWTC's program, but applied there due to wanting to see what my options are.

Once you get your acceptance letter how long do you have to wait before you have to commit to going to that school (LWIT/Bellevue).

This is a great program for someone who is self-motivated and doesn't need to be coddled. Realize...we are all preparing for NCLEX exam Passing, so we can go to work...! Everyone has the same goal in mind to help get good nurses available to help the sick. It's really what you put into the opportunity that makes it work or not. Stop complaining people, and take responsibility for your lives and please stop blaming others!! Especially those trying to help. The whiners should apply...get in ....and pay....for "UW" costs...since nursing is so "rocket-science", that it can't be taught at Tech school?

LWTC Nursing program is also not currently accredited by the ACEN, making it nearly impossible to acquire a nursing job once you graduate.
