I applied to the Sheriff department for RN I position last year April, and finally got through everything, and took my medical exam last week. I want to know how long it took everyone after the medical exam to be called for an orientation. It seems like the process is and isnt taking a long time. They told me the background will take 6-9 months, some people said 3 months, it only took me 1 month to clear my background. Any ideas, what happens next??
Thank you!

This all sounds pretty right you applied last year April?
If i remember, I got a letter saying I passed the medical and got a letter stating when/where orientation will be.
That was maybe 4-8 weeks after the medical.
Youre pretty much there, be patient youll most likely be ag mcj since we always need nurses!
We also wear white scrub bottoms and colored scrub tops just fyi.
Let me know how it goes!
Hey, thanks for the reply. This is my 3rd week, and I'm getting so anxious. Constantly looking at my phone for an answer. I'm guessing I should check my mail now.
I would love to be in MCJ. I cant wait to start!!!! Totally ready for this.

Lol, its funny how we spoke about yesterday and I got my medical clearance letter. I guess now I have to wait for them to contact me for my orientation and further info. Question. When do we find out about our work hours, location and pay?

Youre kinda in the dark cause the actual orientation teachers wont know.

Any update
Guess what... Im starting this Monday May 5. Im not sure where my orientation is going to be. They told me I have to report to this one location, then they will let me know where my orientation will be and who my supervisor will be. Very excited. What shoud I expect. At this point I am praying I am in either MCJ or twin towers.
I am sure youll be reporting to headquarters in monterey park, you'll get the breakdown of benefits etc the day really drags on and you take your ID picture/badge.
Then you'll be given instructions to meet at towers class room for like 4-6 weeks orientation. U dont immediately find out where or shift ull be working its kinda weird.
But congrats, we need nurses get ready for the most insane pill call ever!
