  1. I know exactly what your are saying, Ive had some of the same issues. I sometimes nicely tell me to answer my questions briefy because the MD will speak to them in details latter on. So before I even start asking questions, when I notice this patient is gna give me a hard time I ask them to answer in a brief statement.
  2. Im not so sure why thats being done, Ive been working at a ASC for over 3 years. We dont really document it that way. Doesnt hurt to ask your supervisor.
  3. Guess what... Im starting this Monday May 5. Im not sure where my orientation is going to be. They told me I have to report to this one location, then they will let me know where my orientation will be and who my supervisor will be. Very excited. What shoud I expect. At this point I am praying I am in either MCJ or twin towers.
  4. Lol, its funny how we spoke about yesterday and I got my medical clearance letter. I guess now I have to wait for them to contact me for my orientation and further info. Question. When do we find out about our work hours, location and pay?
  5. Hey, thanks for the reply. This is my 3rd week, and I'm getting so anxious. Constantly looking at my phone for an answer. I'm guessing I should check my mail now. I would love to be in MCJ. I cant wait to start!!!! Totally ready for this.
  6. I applied to the Sheriff department for RN I position last year April, and finally got through everything, and took my medical exam last week. I want to know how long it took everyone after the medical exam to be called for an orientation. It seems like the process is and isnt taking a long time. They told me the background will take 6-9 months, some people said 3 months, it only took me 1 month to clear my background. Any ideas, what happens next?? Thank you!
  7. How long was ur orientation? MCJ would be perfect for me!! How about the hours/schedules? are they good? sorry for ?'s
  8. thank you so much, that makes more sense. I was as honest as i can be and plus i have nothing at all in my background. btw did they make you sign the form that states they may place you in any location and put you in any shift? and if they did, did they still place you close to home?
  9. i know this is an old post, but just wondering if you went for a polygraph or not? and what was it like?
  10. okay i am a bit confused. today was my background interview. When i went in for the interview i was notified that there will be a polygraph test, so they give me 3 packets to fill out completely with all honestly. and so i did. once she came back she went over all the questions and verified each question with me, and at this time she was recording me. after that was all done, they took me for fingerprinting. after fingerprinting they told me i am done, i asked them when the polygraph will be conducted she seemed confused as to why i needed a polygraph and she told me you are done you may go home. I was wondering if you know how the polygraph was going to be conducted. is it some other day? or are they not going to do it?
  11. Thank you for the response, Its weird to say I was not placed in Band 1, but I got called in 2 days, which was way before any of my band 1 friends were called. Im keeping my fingers crossed. This has been such a long process but there is not much left. Hoping by summer I will start :))
  12. Congratsss!!!! thats awesome. I am an RN, with a year experience in a surgical center, nowhere acute. I recently went for the jail tour and I absolutely loved it. They sent me a packet for the background check and I am scheduled for the interview on Jan 3. How long did it take from the day you went for the background interview to your clearance to start? I am actually a bit nervious for the background interview, bc I just cant imagine how it is. My background is pretty clean, Im only 23, didnt have time to mess it up much. I just have a fire on me when I was 16, but it was nothing bad. I was able to get unemployment. Do you think that will be an issue? And I totally agree with you, I loved the MCJ over the twin towers. If you want a real jail experience you have to be in MCJ.
  13. Okay, i just got a notification for my exam date. I am a bit worried as to how to prepare. Any suggestions? Anything I should look out for? is there any sort of study guide?
  14. just wondering if you guys took the exam? what was it like? I have applied and they told me to fax my BLS card to them and I did but they haven't called me in for an exam.
