i know this is a dumb question =/

but what exactly is the NET?

I have been looking into different ABSN programs and didn't see the NET as a requirement until recently.

I thought it was a general standardized test like the SAT or MCAT, but now I'm guessing it's an exam that differs in each school??

Am i right or am i completely off??

This has probably been answered already somewhere in the forum, but in all my searching, i think everyone already knows what the NET is so most of the threads are asking about previous scores and what sections/questions there are...

How would I prepare myself for this exam? Are there studyguide books I can buy or is that useless if the NET is different for each school??

please help...!!

The NET is the Nursing Entrance Test or some such. It's a standardized college entrance type test supposedly geared towards nursing. There's a heavy emphasis on basic arithmetic in the math, but beyond that it's nothing out of the ordinary as far as entrance exams go. At the top of this forum you'll find a stickied thread that's all about the NET; you should probably go take a gander.

the NET is by the same company who makes up the nclex so alot more nursing schools are using it not...my school used to use the TEAS but recently switched to the NET. plus side, i headr the net was ALOT easier.
